Class: Beginner Crazy Quilt Piecing I (BCQ-I)
This class covers the creation of a 10-inch crazy quilt patchwork block using strips of cotton and textured fabrics. 

The Class is taught in 2 Lessons with breaks in-between.

Lesson One covers the discussion of suitable supplies, consideratons when selecting fabrics for piecing, preparation of fabrics, and cutting fabrics into usable sizes for the class. Students will review fabrics, share as appropriate, and can use some teacher grab-bag fabrics if desirable; and mark the base fabric in preparation of piecing the block.

Lesson Two covers creation of the block using the flip-n-sew method of machine piecing. Students will complete the piecing of their 10-inch crazy quilt block.

Time and fabrics permitting, more than one block can be created.

Supplies:

One 14-inch square of muslin for backing
Nine - Twelve strips of cotton fabrics (18 inches long, varied widths of 2-5 inches)
One 6 inch square of fabric for the center of the block. (can include a 3-4 inch stitch motif in the center (i.e. cross-stitch, machine embroidery, handkerchief motif, etc.)

Working sewing machine
General sewing supplies (rotary cutter, mat, scisors, thread, pins, etc.)
